Well after a rather cool night we woke to a beautiful sunrise, only buggered up by the thick blanket of fog!
Today was a transit stage, we stopped and had a look at the ruins of the Lake Bonney Hotel, it is amazing to contemplate the tenacity and endurance of the human psyche, to build a pub in the "absolute middle of bloody no-where" - but they did.
We travelled through Burra, where we stopped for an early lunch, the Burra Bakery does a really good pie! We continued on to Port Augusta, where we had a little break, whilst we refueled, both car and body.
We continued onto a wayside stop, about 60 km north of Port Augusta on the Stuart Hwy. The road was a bit straight......
But we managed to set up camp, enjoy the fire and a break, cook our meal, have the dishes done, and all before the Royal wedding.....Tomorrow, we head towards Coober Pedy, once again we shall see what the day brings.....

Great start, have fun...Geoff
